The purpose of SWAT is to provide protection, support, security, firepower, and rescue to operations in high personal risk situations where specialized tactics are necessary to minimize casualties.

What is S.W.A.T. training?

Unlike traditional approaches to firearm training, S.W.A.T. defense training focuses on teaching students to react effectively in real life scenarios.

Some of these situations include active shooter incidents, home invasions, and emergency response. This realistic, hands-on approach to firearm training is often used by Law Enforcement and Security Personnel but is also highly effective for training civilians to protect themselves during violent encounters. In this post, we will discuss some of the main elements of S.W.A.T. training
Since S.W.A.T. training aims to prepare students for the types of violent incidents they may encounter in daily life, these courses typically focus on preparing students to respond effectively in a variety of situations and settings. Due to this emphasis on practical skill, some of the main topics covered in S.W.A.T. training include:

  • Room entry tactics
  • The warrior mindset
  • Gun handling and manipulation
  • Victim rescue
  • Legal ramifications of using deadly force in public and inside of your home
  • Gun use in different lighting/flashlight use

Our S.W.A.T. training program also teaches you how to work as a team under extreme circumstances during house penetration and clearance.
